All Council facilities, including Administration Buildings, Waste Facilities, Libraries, Early Learning Centre, and Youth Centres, will be closed from 12pm on Friday, 17 May, due to the Scone Cup half-day public holiday.
Scone, 'Horse Capital of Australia', is surrounded by world renowned thoroughbred horse studs. Aberdeen lies on Scone's doorstep and is steeped in Scottish heritage.
Let Scone be your host at the Scone Horse Festival held annually in May and then experience Scottish heritage at the Aberdeen Highland Games held the first Saturday of July each year.
Pop into our local Visitor Information & Horse Centre for plenty of tourist information, maps, advice and merchandise.
More tourism information can also be found on the Upper Hunter Country Tourism website.
