EOI Murrurundi Recreation Facilities User Group Sub-Committee

Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from representatives of local community organisations to join the Murrurundi Recreation Facilities User Group Sub-Committee.

Purpose of the Sub-Committee:
The sub-committee has been established to provide strategic and operational recommendations on the Rosedale complex and Murrurundi Pool precincts and it will report to the Murrurundi District Community Advisory Committee (CAC) on development priorities. This committee will also support with grant applications and guide future planning.

Key objectives include:
• Liaising with relevant bodies, including grant providers
• Supporting the development of facilities such as canteens, storage sheds and spectator seating
• Advising on the Murrurundi Sports Precinct Masterplan
• Addressing broader recreation-related matters within the Upper Hunter Shire

Facilities under the scope of this sub-committee include:
• Rosedale Equestrian Complex, including the Murrurundi Youth Centre and Murrurundi Men’s Shed
• Wilsons Oval and Murrurundi Tennis Court
• Murrurundi Swimming Pool

Membership
The sub-committee will include:
• One (1) Councillor
• One (1) voting representative from each of the following community organisations:
a. King of the Ranges
b. Murrurundi & District Pony Club
c. Murrurundi Rodeo & Campdraft
d. Murrurundi Working Dogs
e. Murrurundi Rugby League Football Club
f. Murrurundi Rugby Cricket Club
g. Murrurundi Youth Centre
h. Murrurundi Men’s Shed
i. Murrurundi Tennis Club
j. Murrurundi Swimming Pool


Commitment and Expectations
Members are expected to attend all meetings. If a representative is absent for three consecutive meetings without an apology, their position may be declared vacant. Members are not authorised to speak to media on behalf of Council.

EOIs must be received by 4:00pm, Wednesday 23 July 2025.
