Community Grant Support

Council employs a Grants Officer to assist community groups with the submission of grant applications. In addition to compiling a monthly Grants Bulletin to keep you up to date with the latest grants available, the Grants Officer can provide support to ensure that your application is as strong as possible.

Cultural Activity Grants

Upper Hunter Shire Council offers Cultural Activity Grants to not-for-profit organisations to enhance cultural development, inclusivity, and local identity within the community.

Aberdeen Investment Committee Community Funding Proposals

The Aberdeen Investment Committee was established by Upper Hunter Shire Council in 2024 to make recommendations to Council regarding the use of community contributions made by MACH Energy in accordance with a planning agreement between MACH Energy and Council.

Goulburn River Solar Farm Community Enhancement Fund Advisory Committe

The Goulburn River Solar Farm Community Enhancement Fund Advisory Committee has been established by Upper Hunter Shire Council to make recommendations regarding the use of community contributions made by Goulburn River Fund Pty Ltd in accordance with a planning agreement between Goulburn River Fund Pty Ltd and Council.

Fundraising for sports and cultural activities

The Australia Sports Foundation and the Australian Cultural Fund were established in 1986 by the Commonwealth Government to support the development of sport and culture in Australia. The ASF and ACF offer an avenue of tax deductibility to incorporated not for profit organisations that are keen to register and undertake a fundraising campaign for sports or cultural projects.
