As the festive season approaches, please note the following updates to Council services:

Admin Buildings
Merriwa, Murrurundi and Scone’s administration centres will close at 12:00 pm on 23 December 2025. All admin buildings will reopen on Monday, 5 January 2026.

Waste and Recycling Collections
Over the Christmas and New Year period, kerbside bin collections will occur as per the normal schedule on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday 25 December and Friday 26 December 2025 collections will be pushed back by one day. Thursday 1 January and Friday 2 January 2026 collections will also be pushed back by one day.
Please place your bins out the night before your revised collection day.

Early Learning Centres
The last day for children is Thursday, 18 December 2025. Centres will reopen on Monday, 5 January 2026.

Youth Centre Closures for Christmas
Murrurundi Youth Centre: The final session for the year will be a combined Junior and Senior session and pool party at Murrurundi Pool on Wednesday 17 December 2025.

Merriwa Youth Centre: The final session for the year will be a pool party at Merriwa Pool on Tuesday 16 December 2025.

Youth Services (all locations): The final day of operation for Youth Services will be Thursday 18 December 2025.

Libraries
Cassilis: Closing Wednesday, 17 December 2025, and reopening on 7 January 2026.
Aberdeen, Merriwa & Murrurundi: Closing Friday, 19 December 2025, and reopening on 6 January 2026.
Scone Library: Closing Friday, 19 December 2025, and reopening on 5 January 2026.

Visitor Information Centres
Visitor Information Centres will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
