Road Works Update – Main Street and St Aubin’s Street Intersection

Upper Hunter Shire Council advises that kerb and gutter works are expected to commence from Monday, 1 June 2026 (weather permitting), as part of ongoing road improvement works within the area.

Pavement and asphalt works are currently scheduled to take place during the last week of June 2026, weather permitting.

During daytime construction hours, traffic conditions will be modified to allow works to be completed safely and efficiently. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane under traffic control, and motorists are advised to expect delays and allow additional travel time when travelling through the area. Outside of working hours, the road will generally remain open to two-way traffic, subject to site conditions and safety requirements.

To facilitate asphalt works, the intersection of Main Street and St Aubins Street will need to be temporarily closed for approximately three to four days during the last week of June 2026.

Please also note that on-street parking will be restricted for approximately 60 metres on either side of the intersection while works are underway to ensure safe access for construction crews and equipment.

Weather permitting, works on this section are expected to be completed by the second week of July 2026.
