Upper Hunter Shire Council has prepared a draft Sustainable Environment Plan 2025. The plan sets out a series of local actions to guide Council’s environmental priorities across key areas such as biodiversity, water conservation, energy efficiency, waste, air quality and more. The aim is to deliver a cleaner, more resilient future for our region and provide practical, community-focused steps to reduce environmental impact across the Shire.
Council is seeking community feedback on the draft document. The plan is available for viewing during normal business hours at the following locations:
- 135 Liverpool Street, Scone
- 42 Vennacher Street, Merriwa
