We are pleased to announce that the public consultation for the development of a comprehensive Drought Resilience Plan is now open. This initiative, a collaborative effort by Upper Hunter Shire, Singleton Council, and Muswellbrook Shire Council, is made possible through funding from the Australian Government and the NSW Government under the Future Drought Fund. The strategy aims to enhance our region's resilience to future droughts by focusing on understanding historical impacts, exploring mitigation and adaptation strategies, and prioritising community-led actions.

Consultation Period

The consultation will be open until 5pm on Friday, 22 March 2024. This is a pivotal opportunity for community members to share their insights, experiences, and suggestions to help shape a resilience plan that truly reflects the needs and strengths of our region.
