Upper Hunter Shire Council is in the exciting phase of preparing a Masterplan for Jefferson Park, Aberdeen, and we are eager to involve you in shaping its future. Jefferson Park, a key community asset nestled in Aberdeen, boasts an array of sporting facilities including various sporting grounds, a golf course, skate park, cricket nets, and athletic facilities. As we look to the future, your insights and feedback are invaluable in developing a plan that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.

Jefferson Park has long served as a vibrant hub for sports and recreation, catering to a diverse range of activities and user groups. In consultation with these groups, we have gathered initial feedback and needs, which have been instrumental in shaping the proposed masterplan. Now, we are extending the consultation to the broader community to ensure everyone has the opportunity to contribute.

The development of the Jefferson Park Masterplan is not just about enhancing our current facilities; it's about envisioning a future that accommodates growing demand, meets the evolving needs of our community, and ensures the sustainability of this cherished space.

From improving existing facilities to introducing new features, the Masterplan will guide the park's development, help secure funding and grants, and set priorities for the coming years.

We want to hear from you:

  • How do you currently use Jefferson Park, and what do you value most about it?
  • What are your thoughts on the current facilities? What works well, and what could be improved?
  • Do you have any ideas or suggestions for new facilities or improvements that could make Jefferson Park even better?

Your feedback is crucial in helping us create a Masterplan that reflects the diverse needs of our community. Whether you're a local resident, a member of a sports club, or simply someone who enjoys the park's amenities, your input is valued.

Community consultation is now open and closes on 25 April at 5pm.
