Easter Closures 2026

We'll be closed Friday, 3 April & Monday, 6 April, for the Easter Long Weekend. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, 7 April.

Affected Facilities:

  • Administration Buildings
  • Libraries (will also be closed Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 April)
  • Early Learning Centre

Waste Management Facilities Closed:

  • Friday 3 April – Good Friday
  • Saturday 4 April – Easter Saturday
  • Sunday 5 April – Easter Sunday
  • Monday 6 April – Easter Monday

To support our rural residents during the closure, Merriwa and Murrurundi Transfer Stations will be open on:

Thursday 2 April & Tuesday 7 April, from 10am to 2pm

All kerbside waste collections will go ahead on Friday 3 April, Monday 6 April and Monday 27 April as per normal.

Visitor Information Centres will be closed on Good Friday & Easter Monday except Murrurundi VIC which will be open on Monday.
