Upper Hunter Shire Council has placed its Draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan (DPOP) for 2026–2027 on public exhibition from 11:00am, Thursday 30 April 2026 until 4:30pm, Friday 29 May 2026.
The Draft DPOP sets out Council’s priorities and strategic direction for the remainder of the current electoral term. It also outlines the specific actions, budgets and performance measures for the 2026–2027 financial year.
Inspection of Draft DPOP:
The draft DPOP and supporting documents are available for viewing at the Council’s Offices located at:
- 135 Liverpool Street, Scone
- 42 Vennacher Street, Merriwa
- 47 Mayne Street, Murrurundi
Documents can be inspected during normal business hours.

Exhibition Period: From 30 April 2026 to 29 May 2026
Community Consultation Sessions:
Council will conduct community consultation meetings for the Draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan in conjunction with the Community Advisory Committee meetings held in the four main townships.
The intended dates and venues for these sessions during May are as follows:
• Aberdeen – 11 May 2026, 5:00pm – Aberdeen Community Hall
• Murrurundi – 13 May 2026, 5:00pm – Murrurundi CWA Hall
• Scone – 18 May 2026, 5:00pm – Council Chambers, Scone Admin Building
• Merriwa – 20 May 2026, 5:00pm – Merriwa Meeting Room
