Upper Hunter Family Support Service is a voluntary service with a focus on strengthening and supporting families. We support parents and carers with children in their care up to the age of 12 years. Our workers will listen to your needs and provide your family with guidance, encouragement and strategies to make your own decisions.
Family Support can provide a range of support to families with dependent children in their care aged 0 to 12 years. Support may include parenting education, court support, financial information, referrals, home visits, support letters, group work, assistance and or advocacy with Centrelink and Social Housing Providers and even supporting clients to reduce their State Debt. As a service we also offer generalist counselling to clients of need.
Family Support also facilitate a variety of free community programs including specific skills groups and social support groups:
